Resistencia del carbono.....

Here are the facts. Carbon has a tensile strength (MPa) of 1760 vs. Aluminium with 295 and Steel with 690. Compressive strength of Carbon fibre is 1370, Aluminium 295 and steel 690. The tensile strength of carbon fibre after 1,000,000 cycles (measure of fatigue) is 1510 vs. 83 for aluminium.
Bottom line. Carbon is stronger, lighter, longer lasting. That is why it is used in the untethered masts of competition sailing ships.
